InDynasty Warriors Origins, Musou Attacks require you to build up the Musou meter before you can use them, and they have varying effects depending on how much of the Musou meter you’ve built up. Here is a complete breakdown of all the types of Musou attacks in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
All Musou Abilities in Dynasty Warriors Origins
All Musou abilities require you to build up the Musou Gauge, which can be done primarily by dealing and blocking damage. Dealing damage to large groups of low-defense enemies can quickly build up the meter.
Musou Attack
The Musou attack requires one Musou Bar to execute, and you can either press B/Circle on a controller or R on a keyboard to perform it. It’s usually a large AoE attack that deals massive damage in front of you. You’ll need to get roughly 140 K.O.s to get a bar of Musou.
War God Rage
The second Musou ability you unlock is War God Rage during thefinal battle with Zhang Jiao. War God Rage requires a full Musou meter, which is equivalent to three Musou attacks. You can activate it by pressing the LS+RS on the controller or T on the keyboard. War God Rage gives you damage immunity for the duration, and your Musou Gauge drains while it’s active.
Your Battle Arts use the Musou Meter instead of Bravery during War God Rage and the range of your light and heavy attacks is also increased by using the Musou meter. War God Rage ends when you deplete the Musou Meter and this triggers another Musou attack.
True Musou Attack
The True Musou Attack can be unleashed by pressing the Circle/B button on the controller or R on the keyboard while in the War God Rage mode. Alternatively, it will always automatically trigger at the end of your War God Rage mode when the Musou meter is fully depleted. It launches a devastating attack in a circular radius around you.
Extreme Musou Attack
Unlike the regular Musou Attack, the Extreme Musou Attack can only be donealongside a Companion. Once you fill the Companion’s swap gauge and you have a Musou bar for yourself, you’ll get an option to perform an Extreme Musou Attack. Additionally, this attack will not deplete either of your Musou meters. Alternatively, you canperform a Battle Art Chaininstead.
Ultimate Musou Attack
The Ultimate Musou is the upgraded version of the True Musou Attack and also requires you to unlock the Musou Rage upgrade for the War God Rage mode. It functions similarly to the previous True Musou Attack but is several times more devastating and powerful when used. It’s the ultimate ability in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
