Farming Workability Explained
Farming Pals inPalworldhave the Farming Work Suitability. This ability works differently than others like theCooling Work Suitability. Each Pal that has the Farming suitability only has it at level 1, it does not scale to level 4. Despite that, Farming Pals can be just as valuable as other types of Pals because each of them drops a certain item or set of items while assigned to the Ranch. The Ranch is a structure you can unlock once you reach Technology level 5.
Some of the items you get from Farming Pals are significantly better than others. By extension, this means that some Farming Pals also tend to be better than others. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a little tier list to help you determine which of your Pals are best suited for the Ranch.
Best Farming Pals for Your Ranch
The best Pal to farm on your Ranch is generally considered to beVixy. Every Pal other than Vixy has a specific item they drop while on the Ranch, so they are very predictable for what you can get from them. Vixy on the other hand, farms several items. The most common item it finds isPal Spheres. With a ranch full of Vixy, you can farm Pal Spheres all day and never have to make them anymore. It also has a chance to find other items likeGold CoinsandArrows. You can get a Vixy by breeding any of the following Pals:
Hangyu Cryst
S-Tier Farming Pals
As discussed, Vixy stands out above the rest when it comes to farming based on its valuable drops, however, it’s not the only S Tier Farming Pal in the game. Beegarde and Flambelle are very valuable as well thanks to the fact that they drop Honey and Flame Organs, respectively. Beegarde is one of the few Pals that dropsHoney, a material needed to bakeCakes, and is overall one of thebest worker Pals in the game. Flame Organs, on the other hand, aren’t quite as rare, but you’ll need a ton of them to craft various items and structures. You could farm them out in the wild by killing or capturingFire-type Pals, but simply having a Flambelle assigned to your Ranch makes things so much easier.

Ranch Farming Drops
A-Tier Farming Pals
All the items dropped by these Pals are very useful in their own way.Gold Coinscan be used to buy anything from crafting materials toMedical Suppliesand even Pals, so having a Mau or two in your base essentially allows you to farm money with no effort. Similar to Beegarde, Mozzarina is useful because it drops an item needed to bake Cakes, however, we placed it a tier lower becauseMilkis easy to acquire from merchants early on while Honey isn’t. That, and the fact that Mozzarina doesn’t bring any other skills to the table. As far as Sibelyx is concerned, she drops High Quality Cloth and you can never have enough of that.
B-Tier Farming Pals
Chikipi and Lamball are most likely going to be the first Pals you assign to the Ranch, and they’re pretty good starter choices. However, they start losing a lot of their value past the early game. BothEggsandWoolbecome very easy to acquire later on, and you won’t need a ton of them anyway. Wool remains valuable far longer than Eggs, but once you have Sibelix in your base you’ll stop needing it, for the most part, since you’ll get High Quality Cloth directly.
C-Tier Farming Pals
Now we’re starting to get to some pretty useless Farming Pals. Cotton Candy is an interesting unique Consumable item that doesn’t spoil and raises Sanity, however, it only gives you a measly amount of it. Same with Nutrition. It’s not something you’ll use all that often. Meanwhile, Berries can be found all over the place and you’ll need to build Plantations anyway to level up your base, so there’s very little need to have a Caprity working at the Ranch. Finally, Cremis is just an inferior version of Lamball.
D-Tier Farming Pals
Melpaca is the only D-Tier Farming Pal in the game, and it’s easy to see why. All this Pal produces is Wool and we already discussed why this material quickly starts losing its value. Besides, there are two other Pals that produce Wool while also bringing other traits to the table. There’s just nothing here to recommend it over other Farming Pals.
