Elden Ring: Nightreign uses the Elden Ring engine and its many assets for a completely new experience set in the world of Limveld. The game has a big focus on cooperative play, but if you’re someone who likes to play solo, there are ways to improve the visual experience of the game.

The game has a fairly distracting sharpening filter enabled by default, with no option to disable it in-game. Thankfully, you can remove the filter using a mod created byhuutaiii.

Disable Sharpening Filter in Elden Ring Nightreign

Just like the chromatic aberration mod fromhuutaiii, you need to play in offline mode if you want to mod Elden Ring: Nightreign as it requires EAC to be disabled. Without EAC, the game will not connect to the servers at all.

With that in mind, if you’re playing solo, follow the steps below:

Disable EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat)

Since you are modding the game, online play will be disabled for this mod to work.

Once EAC has been disabled, we can install the mod file.

Install Mod Loader

Next, need to install the mod loader.

Install Chromatic Aberration Mod

Finally, you’re able to install the mod to disable chromatic aberration in Elden Ring: Nightreign.

That’s all you need to do to remove the sharpening filter from Elden Ring: Nightreign while you’re playing in offline mode. All credits for the mod go tohuutaiii, and you’re able to check out their work onPatreon. You can also disablechromatic aberrationusing a mod from the same author.

I have to highlight this again, but only use this mod if you intend to play Elden Ring: Nightreign in offline mode.

Removing the Mod

To disable the mod, simply delete the files that came with it and remove the launch command from Steam.
