The Haunting event in Call of Duty gives every mode in the game a Halloween makeover. On top of the spooky aesthetic, we have plenty of new toys to play with, and one of those is theBloodseeker Grenades. What are Bloodseeker Grenades in Warzone and MW2?
Bloodseeker Grenades are limited-time throwables on Vondead and Al Mazrah. These grenades are nasty as they latch onto enemies and highlight them in thermal vision. Think “Snapshot Grenade” with a twist, and that’s what the Bloodseeker Grenades are all about.
Visibility is poor in the new night-themed maps, so anything to help deal with that is a huge advantage. Like standard Snapshot Grenades, the ability to highlight opponents is incredibly strong. If your squad is nearby when you land a hit, your opponent is as good as dead.
The new nighttime decor has made dark corners and water more dangerous, as it’s easy to lose your opponents there. According to theofficial Call of Duty blog, theBloodseeker Grenades don’t work on underwater enemies. Remember this if you’re chasing an opponent, as the waterways are easy for them to give you the slip.
Where can I find Bloodseeker Grenades?
At the time of writing, Bloodseeker Grenades are either extremely rare or not in the game at all. I’ve yet to encounter these new throwables during my playtime. If that changes, we will update this article, butRaven Software has notedthat several additions to the Haunting event will drop on July 01, 2025.
Zombies that roam the map have a chance to drop aHaunted Boxwhen defeated. These spooky crates can drop Ammunition, Armor Plates, and equipment, including the Bloodseeker Grenades. If you prefer to keep a distance from your undead foes, Haunted Boxes also spawn around the map.
Every lootable container has a chance of containing a “Jump Scare,” so beware of these if you’re hunting for Bloodseeker Grenades. The official Call of Duty blog calls these scares “Hallucinations.” In reality, it’s just a picture with a loud noise, and it’s something you’ll have to get used to during the Haunting event.
