If you’re a fan of the Arc subclass, few Exotics offer synergies like the Gifted Conviction in Destiny 2. Let me show you how to get the Gifted Conviction Hunter Exotic in Destiny 2 and the best builds to use for it.

How to get The Gifted Conviction Hunter Exotic in Destiny 2

You can get the Gifted Conviction fromMaster Rahool in the Tower as part of his Exotic Focusing service. Unfortunately, Exotic Focusing isn’t available right away, and youmust reset your rank with the Cryptarchto unlock it.

The reset option is available once you reach level 16 with the vendor and you canincrease your level by decoding Engrams.

How to get Gifted Conviction Hunter Exotic in Destiny 2 and best builds

I’ve read reports that Engrams you find in the wild can decrypt into the Gifted Conviction before you reset the Cryptarch. As a player who did plenty ofBounty Prep, I have yet to find a Final Shape Exotic this way, sothe drop rate may be low.

The easiest way to get Gifted Conviction in Destiny 2 is bycompleting The Final Shape campaign on Legendary. While you might not get the best stats on your Gifted Conviction, you’ll unlock it and be able to more easily focus Exotic Engrams to get the stat roll you’re looking for.

What is the Gifted Conviction in Destiny 2?

The Gifted Conviction is anExotic chest piece exclusive to the Hunterand has the following Perk:

The Gift of Certainty– Activating Ascension or Tempest Strike throws bouncing explosives at nearby targets that jolt and damage them. Jolting nearby targets grants damage resistance.

As The Gifted Conviction has such a specific effect, our build matters, and we need toinvest heavily into the Jolt debuffto make it work.

Hunter Gifted Conviction Exotic build

The Gifted Conviction gives us valuable damage reduction when we Jolt enemies. With this in mind, we want to lean into this as much as possible and willuse the Arc Subclass. You can, of course, use Prismatic andthe new Arc Aspectto great effect, too.

Aspects and Fragments

This Aspect and Fragment combination gives us multiple ways to inflict jolt, and Ascension means we can take advantage of the explosives from Gifted Conviction.Spark of Resistance is huge in this build, as the 25% damage reduction is no joke.Spark of Feedbackis also handy, as it works with our melee ability, which I’ll cover in the next section.

Abilities and Weapons

Most of the abilities are a personal choice, althoughCombination Blow pairs nicely with Spark of Feedbackfor some almighty melee damage. Gambler’s Dodge also works with our more melee-centric abilities.

You can play fast and loose with your weapons, but as we’re running an Arc build,I recommend a gun with Voltshot. I’ve sworn by the Brigand’s Law for a while as it’s a ridiculously powerful sidearm. If you’re lucky enough to have an Indebted Kindness from the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon, it’s worth using, butVoltshot is essentialto clear areas quickly because of Jolt.

This build offers plenty of sustain, althoughthe Assassins Cowl Exotic Helmetmay be better for a melee-focused build. Still, you have survivability and more ways to trigger Jolt and Amplify than you’ll ever need.

If you usually play Solar Hunter and arehaving Golden Gun withdrawal, I’ve got good news for you. There’s anExotic Sniper Rifle that fires those powerful Golden shots, and it’s easy to obtain when you know how.
