Recently, I’ve made my much-anticipated (by no one) return to World of Warcraft Dragonflight. I’m happy to report that the catch-up systems in place currently are great! I’ve been having an easy (but not too easy) time getting my newly leveled Paladin up to snuff with some sweet new gear. One of the most reliable sources of good, end-game gear arecrafted items. More specifically,Shadowflame Crafted items. So how do you get them in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight?
How to get Sparks of Shadowflame in WoW Dragonflight
SplinteredSparks of Shadowflame are foundat the end of Mythic+ dungeons or as rewards from World activities likeFyrakk Assaults and Weekly Quests. Combine two of these to earn yourself aSpark of Shadowflame.

How to Use Sparks of Shadowflame
Once you have a Spark or two – head to theCrafter’s Consortium in Valdrakken and take a look at craftable gear you’re interested in. In the screenshot below, you can see me eyeing a one-handed sword.
Once you choose an item –imbue it with the Spark of Shadowflamein the crafting request toguarantee an item level of 411 – 424.If you want a better chance at the item being 424, usehigh-quality reagentsin your order (you’ll need to provide these yourself!)
It might not be the cheapest way to get gear – I think my aforementioned sword cost around6,000 gold in materials– but it certainly is the quickest way to get guaranteed upgrades.
Of course, you could always craft it yourself if you’re keen. I personally have no desire to join in on the blue-collar side of the trade economy, however; I’m perfectly content with tipping my crafter well and hoping for the best.
