Today we have yet another new photo that showcases Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg, although Batman and Superman are nowhere to be found. While Superman hasn’t been seen in any of the images or footage yet, directorZack Snyderrecently teased that Superman will have a huge role in the movie.
At the end ofBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,Henry Cavill’sSuperman sacrificed himselfin order to destroy the nefarious Doomsday, which leads to Batman assembling this team of superheroes inJustice League. The final shot ofBatman v Supermanhinted that the Man of Steel was actually still alive. We don’t have any further details about how and when he comes back to life inJustice League, butZack Snyderinsisted that Superman’s presence will be felt. The director revealed that, “his presence, and lack of presence, are big story points.” It remains to be seen when we’ll learn more about his lack of presence, but hopefully we’ll find out more soon. Earlier this month, another unconfirmed report claimed that Arkham Asylum will be featured inJustice League. At the end ofBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Lex Luthor was locked away, and in one deleted scene shown on the Ultimate Edition, Batman tells Lex Luthor that he will be heading to Arkham Asylum. Fans also noticed on theJustice LeagueIMDB page there are listings for actors who play “Arkham Guard” or “Lex Luthor’s Guard.” Still, it remains to be seen how large a role this nefarious villain played byJesse Eisenbergwill have inJustice League.
