Knives Out 2is the one that got away forKaley Cuoco. The Flight Attendantstar recently revealed that she was really “devastated” after not being cast in the Daniel Craig-led mystery sequel, as she believed that she was in line to join the large list of stars that includes Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Ethan Hawke, Kathryn Hahn, and Kate Hudson. During an interview withGlamourmagazine, the actress touched on how it was unusual for her to be so affected by not getting a role, but she had really convinced herself that she was Greece-bound, so the rejection proved one of the hardest she has had to take. She said:

“I was convinced [the part was mine]. I was so convinced that my bags were packed for Greece. And then I didn’t get it. I was so devastated. And I’m not [normally] devastated over roles. I had done chemistry reads, I had done Zooms. And I didn’t get it. I cried and I cried all night long. I mean, I was gutted over that. And that’s when I thought I was on fire, like, I’m for sure getting that. And they were like, ‘No, we’re going to go with Kate.'”

Knives Out 2was put into production shortly after the 2019 original hit cinemas and grossed over $311 million. Having originally been produced by Lionsgate, Netflix are behind the sequel, and a third movie commissioned at the same time, meaning Cuoco could potentially still get her chance to be part of the franchise when casting begins on the third movie. For now though,Knives Out 2is set to premiere on Netflix later this year.

Kaley Cuoco Will Soon Be Seen In The Flight Attendant Season 2

While clearly disappointed at not being chosen to be part of theKnives Outsequel, Cuoco has still got a number of projects coming soon, one being her own seriesThe Flight Attendant, which returns to HBO Max this year for her for its second season of mystery comedy. Having already received a lot of praise for the first season, including award nominations at the Golden Globes and Emmys, and with the final episode leaving things wide open for a follow-up, it was not surprising that Cuoco was given a second season.

As well as that, the formerBig Bang Theorystar will also be heard again as the voice of Harley Quinn in the HBO Max animated series based on the DC character, which will premiere its third season this summer. She has also managed to grab herself the lead role in a biography series about Doris Day, and also stars alongside Pete Davidson in the romantic time-traveling comedyMeet Cute. It is clear that the actress will probably not miss the could-have-beenKnives Out 2role for too long before being busy with those projects, and more in the future.
