Kingdom Come Deliverance 2has claimed to be the game with the longest script ever written, according to its director Daniel Vávra, surpassing the Guinness World Record set byBaldur’s Gate 3, the RPG from Larian Studios.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Breaks Records
Set to release on July 31, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2is shaping up to be one of the most expansive and ambitious games of the year.
The scale ofWarhorse Studio’sambition is evident from recent statements made by Daniel Vávra, who declared on his personal Twitter account thatKingdom Come Deliverance 2will feature the longest script in gaming history.
“As far as I know, it’s the longest script for a game so far, including BG3,” Vávra noted in response to a YouTuber who shared an image of the printed script for the original Kingdom Come Deliverance.
A Colossal RPG Experience
To put things into perspective, the firstKingdom Come Deliverancehad a script containing800,000 words. Its sequel, however, more than doubles that figure, reaching a staggering 1.7 million words, according to YouTuber @eso_danny. This massive word count places it far ahead of other RPG giants in the genre.

Yet, Warhorse Studios later clarified that the script actually contains 2.2 million words, surpassing Baldur’s Gate 3, which holds a record with “only” 2 million words.
