Lost Ark NA/EU will be starting its first-ever “Competitive Proving Grounds Season 1” this week, which will incentivize PvP mode. This update is expected to arrive on March 24 right after the weekly update.
Lost Ark Competitive PVP Season 1 Begins On March 24
Lost Ark has had great success in the past months in the PvE space. In fact, the game has been able to gain over20 million players worldwide. With the release of theArgos Abyssal Raid, there is still a lot to keep us busy for a couple of weeks. Players are also hoping to get ahold ofnew classesin the coming months. They are also looking forward to the promisedroadmapfrom Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games.
But if you’re the type of player who’s mostly PvP content, then we have good news for you. This week will kick off the start of the First Season of the Competitive Proving Grounds. This means that players will start to receive rewards when participating in PvP.
However, you have to least reach at least PVP Tier 1 in the Proving Grounds before you can participate. specifically. The main mode for the competitive PVP will be “Team Deathmatch” and can be queued solo. The number of wins and losses you accumulate will determine your “Competitive Match Average Score” by the end of the season.
Prove Yourself in the Proving Grounds
The Competitive Proving Grounds season is expected to last for 6 months. We’ll have to wait for more details when it comes to the season-end rank rewards. This duration seems to be a bit on the long side, so we’ll have to see how many rewards we’ll get in between the start and end of the season.
Similar to the recently releasedArkesia Grand Prix Event, you’ll be exchanging coins to gain weekly and season-long rewards. Weekly rewards will consist of the usual upgrade or honing materials as well as Battle Items. For season-long rewards, you can expect to receive cosmetics including titles and mounts! Who wouldn’t want to participate in competitive PvP after this?
Lost Ark’s PVP Ranking
The Competitive Match Average Score or MMR in other games will determine your rank. How high (or low) your Match Average Score is will determine who you’ll be pitted against. The ranks for Lost Ark’s NA/EU PVP Season are as follows:
But fear not since you don’t necessarily have to play on a daily basis. As long as you play every 2 weeks, your average score will not decay and you won’t lose points.
Similar to other activities in Lost Ark, matchmaking will group together players across the entire region. It will be skill-based as well, so you won’t have to worry about balancing issues. Now if you plan to have your name listed on the Leaderboard, then consider practicing now, as only the top 200 can get in.
The Omen Collection Set
Alongside this significant and upcoming PvP update, players can still purchase the Omen Collection Set. These come in bothArmorandWeaponskins, along with an ominous-looking mount.
The Omen Special Package, which contains all of these cosmetics together with the Wallpaper: Omen, can be purchased via the Lost Ark Shop for 3,800 Royal Crystals. The Armor and Weapon Skins package can be purchased for 2,400 Royal Crystals. Separately, the Armor skin costs 2000 and the Weapon skin costs 600.
If this price is too steep, you may opt to buy the items through the Auction House for a certain amount of gold.
In addition to looking like a menacing assassin or death knight, you’ll also reap the benefits of enhancing your Virtues. This is useful for Rapport Actions and gaining access to secret passages in order to acquire Mokoko Seeds. The sets should be available until sometime in April so be sure to grab them before then if you like their overall designs!
