Mario & Luigi: Brothershipincludes many side quests which develop the world and often lead to comedic cutscenes. However, some of these sidequests have time limits which require the player to drop everything and complete a specific task. One of these quests is “Arc’s Secret”, which requires players to find Arc’s lost spyglass.
10 Iconic Tracks From The Mario Kart Series
Mario Kart’s had some really great courses across the whole series, but which are the most iconic of them all? This list seeks to answer that.
This quest can be started by talking to Arc on Shipshape Island after the player has defeated Gorumbla, whose boss fight begins after completing both Raynforst andTwistee Island. Upon accepting the quest, the player will be immediately informed that it must be completed before activating the first lighthouse later in the game. As this quest only requires backtracking to an earlier island, it is recommended that you complete this quest as soon as it is available.
Searching for the Spyglass
While Arc doesn’t know where he lost his spyglass, he does inform you that it is on Raynforst Island when beginning the quest. Simply fast travel to the island and begin searching around.
While revisiting the island, each NPC will have new dialogue about the spyglass, but none will know exactly where it is.
The Spyglass can be found in the following location on the island map. This area was blocked off from the player on their first visit, but now flowers have grown to form a walkway they can traverse through.
Battle for the Spyglass
Before even noticing the spyglass itself, the player may see the Invisilizard enemy will be sniffing at it, so prepare for a battle to claim Arc’s property.
Upon beginning the encounter, Mario & Luigi will come face to face with five Invisilizards, while none of them should be a threat as the player has already completed this island and fought many, getting hit five times per turn can be deadly. To settle the encounter quickly, use the Green Shell Bros. Move which was earned upon completing Raynforst Island to perform an AoE attack which should annihilate all the invisilizards if you succeed at the QTE.
After defeating the enemies, pick up the spyglass and return to Shipshape Island to return it to Arc. While the monetary reward for this quest is nonexistent, players will be rewarded with a flashback to Arc spending time with his father to develop his character. A fine reward for this simple sidequest.
Review: Super Mario RPG
Super Mario RPG succeeds at invoking feelings of nostalgia for the 16-bit era while looking good enough to pass for a modern game.
