We have already seen one candid shot ofChris Hemsworthon the set ofMad MaxprequelFuriosa,but the latest images show the actor more unrecognizable than ever. Furiosais the fifth movie in theMad Maxfranchise, which began all the way back with Mel Gibson’s 1979 dystopian action movie, and in 2015 added a belated sequel in the form ofMad Max: Fury Road. The latest film acts as a prequel to that movie, as well as a spin-off of Charlize Theron’s character Imperator Furiosa, who is seen years earlier as younger version of the character in the upcoming movie.Furiosa’scast is led by Anya Taylor-Joy in the titular role of Furiosa, who is kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers and finds herself entangled with a Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus, who is at war with Immortan Joe. The supporting cast of the movie includes Fury Road returnees Nathan Jones and Angus Sampson, as well as newcomers Tom Burke and Hemsworth in undisclosed roles. However, it looks like there will be quite a span of time covered in the movie, as earlier images of Hemsworth’s character sporting a red beard have now been followed up, showing him with a much thicker, grey beard.Images shared byThe Daily Mailwere subsequently uploaded to Twitter by a number of users. You can check out some of the images below, that shows a completely unrecognizable Hemsworth rocking his huge beard and appearing with a new nose. How the changes fit withFuriosa’sstoryline is something that is currently unknown.
These are the latest images to come from the set of the movie, which is currently filming in Australia. Previous images have shown Hemsworth as a younger version of his character, and others have given a first look at Taylor-Joy’s Furiosa in character. However, it is likely going to be some time before we see any official footage coming from the movie.

George Miller Has Hinted AtFuriosa’sEpic Scale
Everything about theMad Maxfranchise is epic, and he previously hinted that the story of Furiosa will be told over several decades in the movie. This would tie in with the changing look of Hemsworth in the set leaks that have been shared so far and means that we will be in for another huge-scale piece of storytelling from the world ofMadMaxwhen the movie arrives in 2024. Miller previously commented:
“I’ll tell you how it’s going when it’s finished, but it has got off to a lovely start. All I can say about my excitement about doing it is that it’s definitely exciting, because even though it’s certainly of that world of Fury Road, it’s also got a lot of the differences we’ve been talking about. Again, it’s uniquely familiar. And probably the biggest difference is the timespan. Fury Road happened over three days and two nights and this one happens over 15 years. So, it’s a saga.”
