8 Things Every Good JRPG Needs
A solid story? A colorful cast of loyal teammates who’d follow you anywhere? These are just a few things quality JRPGs have.
There are literally dozens of different classes that you create characters for, summoning and confining phantoms into the real world in the form of warriors, supporters, and even monsters. One of the most fun classes to play is the Thief class.

The Thief is an offensive character that focuses on dealing high melee damage to enemies. The Thief is not skilled in support, magic, or crafting masteries, and has extremely low intelligence and resistance.

Today’s Prey

Discerning Eye

BOR received +100%. When equipped with a Short Sword, STEAL +20.

SPD +3% each time an ally is Confined.
From the Shadows
DEX +60% for this unit’s first attack each battle.
Their class abilities are focused around increasing STEAL, as well as increasing the amount of money gained by the character (BOR). They also specialize in high-damage attacks, especially against enemies stronger than them and at the end of battles.
The Thief should focus on moving around the map and disarming enemies, as well as using high DEX abilities in their weaponry. They deal massive damage, but are relatively weak, so it’s best to get in, do your damage, and then get as far away as possible to avoid repercussions. Deploy the thief near the end of battle to help clean up enemies with high HP, as well as to get some extra cash before the victory screen.
Best Stats to Boost
The Thief thrives in non-magical situations, and is a rogue character with a focus on high slash damage and movement. Use scrolls and other buffs to help increase their speed and dexterity, but mainly focus on increasing their attack and HP as you level them up. When possible, increase the character’s MOVE and DEX to give them further movement and more defense against incoming attacks.
Best Tools to Equip
The best items to equip for the Thief class areShort Swords, since they are slash/blade weapons that are buffed by the Lightspeed Fingers class ability. They can hold their own with other swords before level 30, if you find a better one to use that isn’t specifically a Short Sword.
