Developer Snapshot Games have announced the release date for Phoenix Point along with a new platform PS4, along with Xbox One release date.
Phoenix Point Launches December 3rd for PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2020
Phoenix Pointwill be launching on PC via the Epic Games Store onDecember 3rd at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET. Xbox One will be launching in the first quarter of 2020, followed by Playstation 4 later on in 2020. This is the first time Playstation 4 has been confirmed as a platform.
Those who backed the Fig project and want to play the Backer Build 5, will need to purchase the game before 11:59 PM PT on June 07, 2025 according to a post on the Snapshot Games official forum.
Phoenix Point is a strategy game created by the same mind of the originalXCOMseries. Dubbed the spiritual successor, Phoenix Point will pit players against aliens, but with the added element of these aliens being able to take DNA from different species, altering themselves in the process. These transformations will result in devising the best tactics to counter these changes, and adapting to what they throw at you next. Through turn-based battles with a group of 4 soldiers, players will attempt to push back the alien forces.
