Survival is mandatory during work hours inR.E.P.O., and without the proper tools at your disposal, you and your pals do not stand a chance against the army of monsters that stalk the halls of the abandoned buildings you’re going to explore.

R.E.P.O. Hunting Guide: The Headman

Learn how to deal with the ominous floating Headman in R.E.P.O. and start fighting back against the strange creatures lurking in the dark.

Thankfully, there’s the Supply Station, which serves as your one-stop shop for everything (depending on what spawns) you’ll need on your next mission. Not all of these products are as useful as others, however, and you should know which ones should be at the top of your shopping list.

10Energy Crystals

I’ve got the power

They may not seem that great at first, but when you reach those later levels and need drones and weapons to keep the lights on, you’ll be glad you stocked up on Energy Crystals, which act as batteries for the ship’s recharge station.

Purchasing an Energy Crystal in the shop will immediately place it into the repair station in the ship. Once it’s inside, all you have to do is place a chargeable item in the square box next to the crystal grinder to begin charging your guns, drones, or rubber ducks.

9Stamina Upgrade

Don’t stop!

These hard-working robots really move at a snail’s pace when they aren’t sprinting, so a Stamina Upgrade is probably going to be in your best interest.

Stamina upgrades increase the total amount of Stamina for your character by 10 points, which means they’ll be able to sprint for a longer duration than before (and that Stamina runs out quickly when you’re being chased by monsters).

8Strength Upgrade

Bodybuilding done quick

The best upgrade to purchase in the game is the Strength upgrade. Not only does upgrading your strength allow you to move heavier objects higher and quicker, but it can also be used against monsters.

R.E.P.O.: All Shop Items, Explained

Every item you can find in the shop in R.E.P.O., and how you’re supposed to use them!

Every monster can be grabbed by the player, and if you have enough strength, you can even slam them into surfaces to damage them. Multiple players can grab an enemy at once to combine their strength, so even the biggest enemies can be taken down with your bare hands.

7Recharge Drone

A floating battery

The recharge drone acts like a portable battery pack, capable of recharging any device that needs energy while outside of the company truck.

This means that guns can be reloaded, trackers can be recharged, and drones can be brought back to full power without having to return to the start of the level. It saves a lot of time, and might just save your life one day.

Health Packs and Strength Upgrade

6Tranq Gun

Knock-Out!

While the Gun or Shotgun may seem like the more obvious choices, the Tranq Gun is the best ranged weapon in the game (if you know how to properly use it).

Lure your enemies to rooms with a giant pit, then blast them with the Tranq Gun to knock them out cold for a brief period. you may then grab the enemy (you may need help from your teammates), lift or drag them to the pit and send them to the bottom, instantly killing them.

5Sledgehammer

Time to get to work

Be careful with this one: the Sledgehammer is an extremely high-damage melee weapon, capable of obliterating monsters and even smashing down doors with enough hits.

The catch here is that friendly fire is turned on in R.E.P.O., so if you aren’t careful you might swing it and kill one of your teammates. Be sure to keep it in your inventory when you don’t need to kill a monster.

4Explosive Mine

Don’t touch that

The Explosive Mine is by far the best explosive item in the game for one extremely obvious reason: it instantly kills whatever creature activates it, and does high (usually lethal) damage to nearby creatures as well.

The downside to this is that players are also susceptible to being damaged by the mines, and upon activating them the only way to “remove” them is to make them blow up (a task that usually ends in death).

3Indestructible Drone

Come at me, bro

This drone is as overpowered as it sounds: after attaching it to a valuable of any kind, the valuable will not lose value or take damage if it hits something.

The drone’s charge will be decreased when the item it’s protecting collides with something, absorbing the damage from the item with its energy. This combines extremely well with the feather and zero-gravity drones, as well as the recharge drone.

2Zero Gravity Drone

Keep on floating on

Some valuables (and monsters) are too heavy to be moved by one character, which is what makes the Zero Gravity Drone a must-buy: it makes any creature, item, or valuable it touches completely weightless.

Not only can you transfer large and heavy objects with ease, but you may also attach them to monsters, making them easy to slam into walls and throw across the room. It even works on the C.A.R.T., allowing you to lift it up into the air.

1Health Packs

I’m still standing!

There are only three ways to gain back lost health in R.E.P.O.: siphoning it from another player’s total HP, gaining 25 HP upon returning to the truck at the end of a level and using Health Packs from the shop in between rounds.

Health Packs can be saved for later in your inventory, so it’s not a bad idea to stock up before your next run. If you find your party is low, but don’t want to waste potential extra health or cash, we advise electing one player to give the majority of their health to the rest of the party, then using a large Health Pack once they’re below 10 points.
