Ryosuke Yoshida, the director ofVisions of Mana, has leftOuka Studios, theNetEasesubsidiary responsible for the game, to joinSquare Enix.

Ryosuke Yoshida: A Capcom Veteran

This news comes following reports that, at the end of August—just after the game’s release—Ouka Studios faced layoffs, with speculation suggesting NetEase Games might be considering its closure.

Before joining NetEase Games, Ryosuke Yoshida spent 13 years at Capcom, contributing to various action games, includingMonster Hunter Generationsand Sengoku Basara. One of his most notable achievements was serving as the combat designer for Devil May Cry 5.

In July 2020, Yoshida left Capcom to join NetEase Games, one of China’s leading video game companies. Initially based at the Guangzhou headquarters, he worked there for three years before transferring to the Shibuya office in Tokyo.
